TheMIX: For students grades 6-8 on Wednesdays from 6-8pm

A typical night at The MIX:

6:00 PM    The Foundry opens (games, food, etc.)
6:30 PM    The Mix large group starts (Auditorium)
7:30 PM    The Mix small group start
8:00 PM    Students can be picked up

Who is The Mix for?  The Mix welcomes any students in grades 6 through 8.  With large group and small groups now being on the same night, 6th grade students will be included in small groups.  Each small group will be made up of students of the same grade and gender and will be led by a caring adult leader.

When should students arrive at The Mix?  Students should arrive to The Mix at least by 6:30 PM when large groups starts.  From 6:-6:30 PM the Foundry will be open where students will have the option to play dodgball and other games, hang out, or even grab a bite to eat.  The Shed will be open during this time and will have snacks, drinks, and pizza for sale.  We do not expect every student to eat dinner at The Shed, but want to have this option available as parents and students plan their Wednesday night schedules.

When does The Mix start?  The Mix will luanch on September 14.

Should 6th grade students attend Route 456, The Mix, or both?  Route 456 is Third's Sunday morning program for students in grades 4, 5 and 6.  This program excels at providing students an understanding of the themes of the Old and New Testament.  The Mix for students in grades 6-8 also provides Biblical teaching while pressing into more topical issues like wisdom, friendships, temptation, etc..  Together, the programs provide a balance of foundation and application that can help 6th grade students transition into owning and living out their faith at a deeper level.
